James Hasson

Associate

Mr. Hasson is a skilled litigator with experience at the trial, appellate, and Supreme Court levels. He represents clients in a wide variety of constitutional, appellate, and regulatory matters, with a focus on cases involving the First and Fourteenth Amendments, election law, and challenges to federal agency actions. Mr. Hasson has presented oral argument in federal appellate and district courts, state courts, and federal administrative proceedings. He was trial counsel and part of the team that prevailed before the Supreme Court in the landmark case Students for Fair Admissions, Inc. v. Harvard College and University of North Carolina.

Mr. Hasson is a former law clerk to Judge Edith H. Jones of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Notre Dame and his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. Prior to law school, Mr. Hasson served as an Army officer and completed a deployment to Afghanistan. He is a member of the Texas, Virginia, and District of Columbia bars.
